Jack's new excersaucer

Becca has so generously let Jack borrow so many of Jasper's things. We just got the baby einstein excersaucer and Jack loves it as you can see. He plays and plays and then all of the sudden he gets too overstimulated and gets really fussy and there is no turning back. As you can see he usually crashes after a good play session.

Jack's first Christmas party

Jack was excited to celebrate Christmas with is older girlfriend Jasper. He got a few new toys to play with. Becca got him some super cute slippers and a book and he got a cute puppy dog to play with also.

I don't want to sleep in my bed

Jack is not spending too much time in his beautiful crib. He sleeps in his bassinet and in the bed with us. Since I have been back to work he has been waking up every few hours and he has been sleeping in the bed with us more often. He is getting use to it and doesn't like being put back in his bassinet. I really don't have the energy to fight it. He was sleeping through the night and now it has been three weeks since I had a full nights sleep. It would have been a lot easier if he had never slept through the night because I would not be expecting it. Oh well, I am sure it will all change again soon. Just when I get used to one thing he starts something new to keep me on my toes.

Great Granny Margie Stricklin

Jack got to meet his great granny Margie before she passed on Friday, December 14th. Margie was such a beautiful, sweet and faithful woman. She spent her life raising four children and loving her husband, Chester.

Mommy and Daddy's first night out with a babysitter

We got a night away from our precious baby boy. People kept asking me why don't you leave him and have a night out to yourselves. Jack is such a good baby we have not felt the need to get away. We celebrated Rebekah's birthday at a wine bar downtown. I didn't feel a bar was the best place for my baby boy. We had fun, I spent the night talking about breastfeeding, being back to work and missing Jack like crazy, and Daniel spent the evening talking about the nuances of wine. My girlfriend from high school, Rina, watched Jack. He was still alive and no bruises when we got there so she did a great job. (kidding Rina)

Carl's B-day party

Jack's first day at Stephanie's day care

Jack is so amazing. Daniel told me the other day that he knew that he would love his baby, but he didn't realize just how much he would really like him. He is such a great kid. Last week he started teething and so he has been a little more fussy than normal. I went back to work on Dec. 3rd. I knew it would be hard to go back to work and that I would be really sad, but it has not been as miserable as I thought it would be. He is at a home day care, a woman named Stephanie takes care of him in Providence. She has a 4 month old baby boy named Jonas, who is super cute. Work is not that great, I have spent much of my time waiting for my computer to work, then waiting for my phones to get turned on, then waiting for a call. Things are really bad here, it looks like a ghost town. So many people have been laid off. Hopefully things will turn around soon.

My daddy is 31 today!

Poor Daniel had a pretty lousy birthday this year. We had an exciting weekend planned and He had to stay home for everything. He was sick and stayed in bed all weekend. We are just glad he didn't spread it to his beautiful baby.
