Dan's first Father's Day

Cassidy, Jack and Carson

My girlfriends Lisa and Lisa came over with their kiddos to play. Cassidy and Jack were getting ready to go to the pool. We decided to get a picture of them all together but they did not want to cooperate.

Happy Birthday Monnie

We threw a surprise birthday party for Bobbie's birthday this year. We had a really nice dinner and Bobbie had a great time showing off her wonderful grandson. He was a little fussy. Usually right around eight o'clock he starts rubbing his eyes and yawning and it is time for bed. Sometimes we keep him up a little late for special occasions.

Jack is on the move

Jack is getting around really well now. He is scaling all of our furniture and even some things that are not too steady. He has gotten a few minor bumps and brusies along the way. He started crawling (the low-crawl) at about 7 1/2 months and he has really pick up alot of speed. Now when we walk him holding both of his hands he almost runs. I have the feeling that once he is able to walk he won't spend much time walking he will go straight to running. He has car that makes all the car noises, that he loves. He gets on the back end of it and pulls himself up and pushes it back and forth. He gets so excited walking "on his own" with his car.

Jack at the pool

See the first picture, where Jack is clinging on to his Daddy like monkey. The pool was really cold when we first went to the pool. We got use to it pretty quickly, but those first few minutes were not too fun for any of us. We have really been enjoying the pool alot more this summer. Jack loves splashing in the water and he especially loves being spun around. He has had a few under water nose and mouth experiences (he splashes so much that he inhales some) but he is still in baby bliss.

Jack and his lemons

We took Jack out to eat with us and his Grandpa and Grandma. He has just recently started joining us at the table at restaurants. Previously we just kept him in his car seat and he was content. Now he wants to be out where all the action is. We have been feeding him a little more table food here and there. I gave him a finger dab of lemon juice and the went crazy. He loves lemons, we can't hardly tear them away from him. I have never seen a baby that didn't show the cute bitter face when you gave them a lemon until now. It has been a few weeks since his first treat and now every time he sees a lemon he gets excited.
