Trinity's first birthday

We went to a birthday party for Trinity's first birthday and Jack had an exciting time. It was a Minnie mouse themed birthday party. Jack got his Goofy outfit on and was ready to party. They finger painted, Jack made his first masterpiece. He had kind of a meltdown, the party was right in the middle of his nap. We got some food in him and he was a new baby. Jack got his first piece of cake and loved it. I am getting him prepped for his birthday party.

My daddy graduated!!!

Dan is almost finished with his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He actually has about 10 more weeks of classes to finish, but he was allowed to walk instead of waiting until next July. The graduation was held at American Airlines. I was surprised to see so many people graduating that day. It was a long ceremony, and it was right in the middle of Jack's nap time. He was not a happy baby. I chose to sit down on the floor of the stadium so we could see Dan. We missed him walking in somehow. I had to go up and down the stairs way too many times, to warm his bottle, change him and feed him myself because he would not take his bottle, it was quite a workout. It was so exciting to see Daniel walk that stage. It took it a little while to get motivated to complete his degree, as it did for me. He has been so dedicated over the last couple of years since he started at University of Phoenix. It has been expensive and we will be paying student loans for many years to come, but the education he has gotten there has been excellent. His classes are 10-15 students and the professors are mostly currently in the corporate field and all have very impressive backgrounds. I want Jack to know how important education is and we are going to do whatever we can to make sure he gets the best education.

Jack is walking

Last Thursday Dan asked when Jack would start walking I said maybe in a month or two. I picked him up and He took his first two steps. Later Dan and I sat across from each other and he walked back and forth between us. He is up to six steps. It is so exciting to see. He is so proud of himself when he does it. He also started crawling on his hands and knees this week. He is mostly doing the belly crawl because he is so fast with that. Jack is so much fun now. He has so many tricks. He laughs along when others are laughing, he claps when we sing patty cake, he dances back when he hear music. I have been teaching him baby signs and he is doing very well. He knows bye-bye and milk. We are working on more. It is so adorable to see him thinking and concentrating so hard. Everything is so new to him. He gets frustrated at moments, but he is mostly such a happy boy.

Independence Day

We are a great 4th of July. We went to Hawaiian Falls water park with covenant church. They closed down the water park at six and let us have it all to ourselves. When we got there I thought I would wait to ride some of the slides until it closed and there was less of a line. The lines were longer once it was just the church, we really filled up the park. They had dinner and a movie also. Jack loved the lazy river. We were able to see the fireworks from the park. Jack got to see his first fireworks show a week earlier in Savannah. They had a parade and put on a pretty good fireworks show.

Happy birthday Zoe

We went to our next door neighbors birthday party for their daughter Zoe who is now three. They also have a son Aden, who is a month older than Jack. Aden is walking all over the place. He is on the move. He also has three other siblings to keep up with. Jack is moving pretty fast with his low crawl and he gets around pretty good scaling furniture. Both Aden and Jack are pretty aggressive pinchers and hair pullers. I guess boys will be boys.
