Decorating for Christmas

This year was the most difficult year for decorating. I thought it was frustrating in years past trying to find that one burnt out light bulb in the almost new string of lights, or trying to motivate Dan to help me put things up, but this year was crazy. I decided to get started once Jack went down for a nap and Dan somehow sidetracked me into watching an episode of Whale Wars (great show, by the way). So we got a late start, but it ended up taking forever. We got a lot of new decorations this year. We have two trees now and more lights and garland outside. Jack got up from his nap and had a really large new toy to play with. We had moved his toys and there were tons of shiny balls to play with. Just as fast as I could put them on he was right behind me taking them off and the thought it was so funny. He has been grabbing ornaments and he will take off running away from my giggling. He has shattered two ornaments to date and we put the tree up the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I think that is not a bad record, especially since I bought new unbreakable balls.
